What is PAT?

PAT stands for Portable Appliance Testing 

Meaning any item that is reasonably portable & has a plug on it should be tested.  PAT testing includes initially a visual inspection of the appliance & the flex to ensure it is free from cuts, damage or stress.  We then open the plug to make sure the cable is secure & is correctly wired.  We check that the fuse is the correct rating for the appliance & free from any signs of overheating.  If the plug is damaged, or the fuse is incorrect, we will change or replace them to ensure it is correct - FREE of charge!

We then carry out the electrical safety check with our equipment.

You will receive a full report & certificate, (we also keep records of your safety test) a label will be attached to each appliance that passes & if any fail the safety test, will be labelled DO NOT USE.
